Joel is a very very good host! He was always responsive and very pleasant! His home was very clean and I absolutely love the red shoes on the wall! Overall, when I am in town again, I will book him again!

Good location.

Not a good place for contractors to stay the owners will steal items that you have delivered and then lie to you about taking them. I had to get the police involved two different times with these owners to get my items back. The owner had his elderly father call me to say that they had our items that they took off the porch after I went to the cops three times And then proceeded to blame me for having them delivered to a place where I asked if we could have deliveries too And then I had to call him back to have his son the owner contact me to get my items back and then I told him to bring him to the job site and when I need them back and I told him last week when he took him and then he proceeded to tell me to stick the bolts up my ass, and I went to the police again The neighbors across the street, saw the owners take the items off porch Come to find out the cohost of this property works for Wilmington Police Department

Absolutely stunning place ! I would rent this anytime going forward if I’m in Wilmington! The front porch vibes are great for morning coffee or just hanging out ! Beautiful kitchen! Super comfy beds ! Great communication with the host!

Wonderful experience at Jade Retreat. The host provided easy, clear instructions for checkin and checkout. The unit was located in a convenient historic area close to all of the shops and restaurants in downtown Wilmington (5 minute drive). Highly recommend for a weekend getaway!

Stayed here for a bachelorette weekend. The house was very clean, the door locks were easy to use, and we really enjoyed that there was food and drinks within a couple minutes walk. Great place for the price.

I loved staying at Joel’s place! The Air bnb was in a great location and I felt very safe staying here as I was traveling by myself. Having a kitchen and laundry was a huge plus for me. I also loved being able to use the beach chairs and towels for a beach day! I will definitely be back! Thanks!

Great location and perfect sized airbnb for a wedding get away! Joel & Lauren were incredible hosts and very responsive to questions and concerns. Parking was super easy and the neighborhood was super walkable. Lots of thrifting and coffee shops less than a block away. The split air units in the room was amazing in the summer heat since each couple had different temperature preferences. Thank you for letting us stay!

We really enjoyed staying at The Jade Retreat! It was very clean and there were nice extras like some K-Cups, coffee creamer, oatmeal. Loved the eclectic design, which matches the quaintness of the Riverwalk shops and restaurants. The hosts were great to work with and responded very quickly to any questions we had! Overall a great stay. 15 minute walk to the Riverwalk and downtown, so many options for bars/restaurants. The spiral staircase, while beautiful, was not my favorite to navigate with luggage or groceries. Also the entryway was a little snug when trying to enter the main door to the apartment door. Even so, I would definitely stay again for a weekend getaway! Bonus, host was super responsive and helpful.

Absolutely loved this Airbnb! The place was super clean, really cute, and in an awesome location. We were just a short drive to the riverfront (5 minutes), great restaurants, and fun little shops. Perfect spot for a weekend getaway—would definitely stay again!

Joel and Lauren were wonderful hosts, they were quick to respond to all of our questions and or concerns. The location was great and parking wasn’t an issue. The unit is only accessible by a spiral staircase which was a little challenging with luggage and groceries, but aside from that the property was well kept, very clean, and had all that we needed for our Wilmington stay!

This house was amazing! We especially enjoyed dinners on the balcony. The hosts are great! I forgot an expensive medication in the fridge and had no trouble getting in touch with them and getting it back! We would definitely stay with them again.

Clean and unique stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with any thing you would need to cook. There were even two beach chairs available. Plenty of supplies to wash dishes and do laundry. Extra blankets in the bedrooms were nice. I wish it was noted a little more clearly in the description that it is a two unit home and this is the second level, only accessible by the spiral staircase.

Joel and Lauren had a beautiful cozy place to stay. They had a great kitchen set up coffee and so on. They were very responsive and we had everything we needed. We will definitely look to stay again. Perfect for 4 people. Close to a lot to do but far enough to feel peaceful. We loved the artsy touches in the decor. Thanks again for having us!!!!

We really enjoyed our stay! We were right within walking distance of downtown and the location was also on a quiet street. The house is lovely and exceptionally clean and cozy. We would definitely recommend!

My family and I have stayed at Lauren and Joel's 2 times now and it is our go to in Wilmington. The house is near downtown and within a short walk from some great places to eat. It is a just a bit further to the heart of the historic downtown. The apartment is very clean and has everything you could want. The beds are nice with great soft pillows and blankets. Lauren and Joel are super nice to speak with and their response time is within 20 mins everytime I send a message. I would highly recommend this host and their listing. We will be back to Wilmington in a few months and look forward to staying there again.

I loved the house. The decorations were pretty. The bed was comfy. I loved the bathrooms and balcony. The fireplaces were nice. The only thing I struggled with was getting my heavy luggage up the swirling stairs. If u have help or a small bag then it’s prob not bad. They were super responsive. :).

Very accommodating of our employee who was there for a week. They checked and made sure there wasn’t any issues. Kyle loved the home. Thank you for letting him stay

I love it when you come to the house and there are no surprises: everything looks exactly as in pictures. There are no thousands of additional "do or not to do in the house" instructions. Furniture, bathrooms, and appliances are all new and well working. Quiet modern AC in each room. The house is very clean, and it has enough towels, personal care products, utensils, etc. The host is friendly and responds fast. The beautiful stairs in the picture are only way to the 2nd floor where the unit is, it is wouldn't easy to use them for old people and kids, so be aware of it. There are no designated parking areas, so we had to park our 1 car on a street around a corner because of lack of parking space. In general very nice and cozy house. I would recommend my friend to stay in it.

The house was uniquely decorated and a short walk to downtown. The beds were comfortable and the extra linens were a nice addition. Large covered porch on the second floor provided a relaxing place to drink a coffee in the morning. The hosts were super responsive.

We really enjoyed our long weekend here! Adorable apartment that’s got southern charm. Tucked away in a quieter area, with a short 15 minute walk to the downtown hustle and bustle. We absolutely loved the deck space, and the fire places. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home and location! The only thing I would mention is the home is actually broken into two units, an upstairs and a downstairs. The stairs are very steep so if you're afraid of heights, you probably will want to skip on this one. Overall the place is nice and completely renovated! Highly Recommend!

This place is 10 minutes from downtown. The renovations look wonderful. It is a very cool place to stay in. Def sacrifice the master bathroom to stay in the room with the balcony. You wont regret it.

My stay was excellent start to end!! Very clean and just as pictured. I'm a travel nurse who works nights and really really appreciated the flexibility of allowing me to check out at noon so I could sleep a little before driving home!!! I absolutely loved the location! The street is very quiet and the neighbors are so nice. It's a walkable distance to everything good. Walked to the museum and to a great breakfast place. Definitely recommend this air bnb!

Finding something that wowed my friend was hard until stumbling across The Jade. All four of us immediately said this place felt at home. Cozy vibe, quiet neighborhood. Close to everything we mapped out to do. My love and I was discussing commenting again in future for the lower level spot as well. We all hope to come back again. Joel and Lauren great host. They have so many eateries and activities to do. Extremely helpful from the beginning to the end. Especially with getting an ashtray for my smoking love to assisting with an item left behind.The neighborhood is quiet and just felt at peace on vacation. We appreciated and enjoyed Wilmington!! We definitely recommend! Definitely coming back!
