The Jade Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at Joel’s home. He was very responsive and easy to communicate with, which made everything smooth from start to finish. The place was squeaky clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable we slept great! We felt very comfortable throughout our stay. It’s a great place for couples, and we absolutely loved the double shower heads. We would definitely stay here again!

Upstairs tenant was not disclosed, tenant was so noisy at all hours of the night, lied to the host saying they left the tv on but that wasn’t true, heard talking and video games were being played very loudly,

Perfect place for a stay in Wilmington. Not only in walking distance from downtown and riverfront, but also next to an up and coming neighborhood with interesting shops and places to eat. The space is charming, comfortable and has modern conveniences without losing the historical appeal of the structure. Staying in Wilmington for the first time and finding a comfortable, close to downtown place was important. Instead of the "hotel scene" we chose AirBnB and we are so happy we did. The place we chose was 100% accurate to everything we saw and read on line. Our host was always in contact, helped us out and great reminders of the bnb we stayed at. Perfect little home "away from home"....we enjoyed it very much. Thanks!

Wonderful stay at this lovely location! The host was extremely responsive and friendly, making the experience smooth and enjoyable. I would highly recommend staying here. Quick note for future guests: this is a duplex, which worked out just fine for us but may be helpful to know in advance.

This place was beautiful and cozy. Definitely worth a trip to stay at. Lots to do in the area very peaceful and I love the historic buildings around the place. You should definitely stop by and stay if you can.

This place was absolutely stunning! I loved the short 3-minute walks to grab a cup of coffee. It’s in a great location too. And the bed was super comfy! Just a heads up, when booking this Airbnb, make sure to know it’s a duplex. Overall, it was an amazing stay, and we had a fantastic vacation!

This place was PERFECT. I never had an issue finding parking on the street which was really great. This is located close enough to walk Downtown while still allowing easy access to drive the beaches and shopping centers. The bed and couch were both comfortable, and the kitchen and bathroom were amazing features in this space. We felt right at home here, and loved the ease to pop in a load of laundry. We would 100% recommend and stay again!

We stayed a full week at Joel & Lauren's place. It is a beautiful first floor duplex unit, and they really thought of every detail: the space is thoughtfully decorated, spotlessly clean, and in a great location for driving to the beach or walking to downtown Wilmington. It was everything we needed and more. We hope to stay again in the future! Thank you!

definitely a great place to stay, and a lot of fun things to do in walkable distance! would not recommend for light sleepers because there is another apartment above which can get a little noisy

Amazing place to stay

Absolutely amazing visit!!!!

Even though I had to cut my stay short, ( change of work plans). I really enjoyed the place. It was really comfortable and homey. I was able to relax before traveling again and I slept really good. I will definitely try to stay again when I return.

I have never truly visited the Wilmington area until this trip, so I was a little nervous going into it with my girlfriend. We had an amazing time and a lot of it was thanks to Joel and Lauren’s hospitality and excellent communication. We were perfectly distanced from everything we were going to see see and do, our stay was unimaginably pleasant and comfortable, Joel and Lauren were some of the best hosts I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with on Airbnb. 10/10, 5 stars across the board, would 1000% recommend, and will likely book again.

Excellent place to stay for a weekend in Wilmington. We were especially impressed with the interior design. They have excellent style! The place is within walking distance of downtown. It was nice to be able to walk to the river walk for dinner and then walk back without having to worry about parking. We would stay here again!

I can’t say how much I loved staying here. It was perfect for me, and I loved how it was decorated. They provided the little perks like coffee and breakfast snacks. They had quality linens and towels, and plenty of them. Parking was very easy, and it was close to everything. Felt relaxed and inspired staying here. 💓❣️💖

We had an awesome week in Wilmington and loved being able to walk downtown! Very quiet neighborhood with easy access to everything.

I had a great stay at Joel and Lauren’s place! The home was welcoming, clean, and exactly as described. We encountered a minor issue during our visit, but Joel and Lauren handled it swiftly and professionally, making sure our stay remained comfortable. Excellent communication throughout. Beautiful home in a quiet neighbor hood, close to cafes and shops

Fantastic location - 15 min walk to the main attractions in downtown. Coffee shops and a couple of bars nearby. Definitely a great spot to stay if you’re looking to explore Wilmington.

I just loved my stay here. So close to everything I needed, felt safe, and a 10 minute walk to downtown. Parking is on the street, but there was always a space right next to the house without a problem. The place was so clean, comfortable, and relaxing. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Joel and Lauren's place was perfect! Great walkable location, ample street parking, beautiful open floor plan with separate enough space for separate activities, stocked kitchen with everything we needed for cooking, and very super responsive communication. We'll be back!

Lovely design easy access

I very much enjoyed my stay at Joel and Lauren’s. It was a nice little getaway and I felt right at home.

Beautiful place near downtown Wilmington and about a 15 to 20 ish min drive to the beach. Excellent host who was super friendly and responsive. Loved everything about this experience. Highly recommend!!

Joel & Lauren's place was a great place to stay. It is right near downtown, just a few streets to walk and you are right in downtown Wilmington. The area is nice and safe. The place itself was clean, had all that we needed. The shower is great - two shower heads! The bed is very comfortable. Everything worked, no complaints.

We loved the exterior and interior. The house was spotless and well decorated. All was new: linens, towels, kitchen utensils. Joel and Lauren are kind and welcoming. We loved our stay in Wilmington and trips to Wrightsville beach. It was nice to spend the day at the beach but equally nice to come home and cook/chat in the kitchen. We'll come again. Thank you!

Very close to downtown, and not far from the college at all. There are some neat shops within a block and a half walk.

I had a great experience staying at Joel and Lauren’s place ! The apartment was beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful amenities. Immaculately clean and very peaceful surroundings. Short scenic walk to downtown to take advantage of all the great restaurants and lots of shops . Views of the river were so pretty . Perfect place to stay for a quick trip. Parking was great and the check-in very easy . I will definitely be going back. Joel and Lauren were great and provided everything I needed for a relaxing weekend away. Ant wait to go back !

Design of the property was pleasant however there were roaches. The photos on the website were inaccurate and the bedroom was in the entry of the apartment therefore I cut my stay short.

This place was perfect for me and my wife to visit for the weekend and enjoy the downtown Wilmington area. The home was beautifully renovated and extremely clean and new. We loved the location and everything about the area. The bed was extremely comfortable as well, and we got a couple great night's sleep.

The Jade Getaway was impeccable! The neighborhood was peaceful and within walking distance to downtown. The house has been completely redone and blends perfectly in this historic district. Lauren and Joel have considered and accounted for every detail needed to make your stay comfortable from fluffy towels, comfortable bedding, kitchen supplies, etc. They were easy to communicate with and open to any requests. Enjoyed,my stay and highly recommended to others. The upper unit looks amazing as well.

Great location, super clean place …

We enjoyed our stay at Joel and Lauren's! The space was clean, cozy, and matched the photos. The location is perfect and within walking distance to a lot of great shops and restaurants. The only unexpected thing was that the listing says there is a private entrance, but it is shared with the upstairs apartment, and it is easy to hear the neighbors upstairs. Otherwise, we had a great stay and would recommend their place!

Great stay! Place is newly renovated and they are still working out a couple kinks, but very quick to respond and fix anything that needs tending. Awesome amenities, excellent location.

Great place, super nice host, everything was exactly how they described. Maybe a few too many mirrors in the house but they all passed the vibe check. Only downside, no dust pan to go with broom so we had to sweep the stuff in piles. Super delightful host they always were just a message away. Loved the snacks and drinks that were provided, all dishes and appliances were super nice and clean. Great location within 10 or so minutes of anywhere we wanted to go. Linens and towels were all clean and nicely folded. Provided anything you would need. Definitely would stay again.

Wonderful spot in an up and coming neighborhood. The place was very clean and the bed was comfortable with nice pillows. I loved the neighborhood for it's quaint privacy in this beach town with southern hospitality. Joel and Lauren communicated very well through the Airbnb messaging and there were zero issues with my stay. I would definitely recommend to anyone. THANK YOU!

A beautiful place for the weekend! The hosts were super nice and responsive and had extra little amenities in the fridge/on the counter when we arrived! Incredibly clean and homey, would love to return in the future!

Joel and Lauren’s place was AMAZING! They were so accommodating at the last minute! The place looks and feels GREAT! The ambiance is such a modern antique feel with amazing features!
