Wanderlust was perfect. Gloria was extremely helpful when needed and super responsive. The place was just as described in a very peaceful and quiet area. I would definitely book again.

Beautiful location! Lots to do close by, very short walk to the beach, and check in/out instructions were precise! The house looked as pictured. However…I was and am still shocked no reviews mentioned the GREAT need this property has for an actual cleaning! Floors were so dirty our feet & socks were black, there was trash in the cans when we first arrived, the toilets and showers were dirty, the furniture is stained. It truly appeared no efforts had been made between guests to clean at all, other than fresh sheets & towels. Sheets and towels were provided, shampoo/conditioner only in one bathroom, hand soap provided…but all very minimal, not necessarily as described or as other reviews stated. We picked this place because of the reviews, and again do want to say the house is gorgeous! But I definitely feel like more effort could and *should* be made in cleaning and I feel the other reviews are not 100% accurate.

I can’t rate Gloria high enough, her property was phenomenal and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Additionally due to my own mistake I had booked the property through the wrong dates and Gloria went above and beyond to help accommodate us and fix my mistake, something she absolutely didn’t have to do but did so anyway. Again, I cannot recommend Gloria enough, definitely a 10/10 stay!

We had a great time on our stay despite the weather, Gloria was an excellent host! Close to the beach and downtown Wilmington, Carolina Beach is always a great place to visit.

Gloria was extremely responsive, when we needed extra paper towels and assistance unlocking the door she answered right away. She continuously checked in online to make sure we were good. When staying please make sure to keep all doors closed to avoid any gnats getting in. Overall great host!

Great place. The only issue I had was Getting in. After driving 6 hours to get there the key pad wouldn’t open the door. Had to reach out to Gloria over the app. Seems like there was disconnect between the person who programmed the locks and the host. Eventually after almost of hour of being there we was finally able to get in.

Overall this was a great place to stay! It is an easy walk to the beach and surrounded by lots of good restaurants! The house itself was very nice and Gloria was very responsive and willing to help when issues came up!

Rental was ideal for a week away at the beach. Property is within walking distance of beach. Beautiful front balcony for relaxing on. Gloria was quick to help when required. Rooms were clean and laundry cleaner on site. Would highly recommend this rental.

READ B4 RENTING! I found a HUGE dead rat in the back yard which my 4 year old almost picked up out of being innocent, when I contacted the host she brushed it off saying they’ve never had that issue. She didn’t even offer to have somebody get it out the yard so my husband had to end up getting it out of the yard they also didn’t even offer anything for us even having to experience that as guest (outside or not that’s still nasty) The house itself was decent but the floors where SO DIRTY. We had to stop walking around barefooted within the first 30 mins of check in because the floors had our feet SO BLACK! The beds where very hard and uncomfortable. The shower heads where horrible the water pressure was so strong making it uncomfortable to shower. The only good thing I can say is the airbnb was close to everything has plenty of room they just need to clean the place more and if a issue occurred during the stay be a good host and at least offer to pick up the huge dead rat in YOUR yard!

Gloria was a great host. She responded to my questions quickly. The house was as pictured however, cleaning could’ve been better. It appears a little trash was left by previous visitors but it didn’t have a negative impact on our trip. The house is in a quiet location and about 5-10 minute walk to beach access. Recommend bringing a collapsible wagon to easily carry your items to the beach. Overall a good place and location. Enjoyed the getaway.

We had a great weekend! The place was nice and very close to the beach! We did have a little trouble in the beginning but it was a technical issue not a host issue. She was very active in this whole experience. I greatly appreciate her. I would definitely choose this Airbnb and host again!!

This was my first time staying in an Airbnb in Carolina Beach and the greater Wilmington Area. I went with a group of people for a few day vacation to recharge and enjoy the warm coastal weather and our expectations were high for this airbnb based on the pictures, and the airbnb exceeded any expectations we could have had. The bed were extremely comfy. The kitchen had all the dishes and amenities needed to cook basic meals. The living room space and area was fantastic for group activities like watching a movie or playing games. The rooms were spaced out well enough that everyone had a clear area of privacy. Clean bathrooms, nice porch area, close walk to the beach.

*HONEST REVIEW* This house is absolutely beautiful & well designed. If you are planning on going to Wilmington/downtown, it is a far drive (about 30 minutes) so be sure to keep that in mind. There was so much space in this house and everything was immaculate & clean. Only 2 complaints is that the master bedroom shower head points straight to the wall so you will be flush against the wall your whole shower. I ended up showering downstairs the whole stay because it was super tight in there. Also the windows in the living room & kitchen area do not have curtains or shades so you will be feeling like the neighbors are seeing EVERYTHING you do. Other than those 2 things I loved my stay here and will be booking again!

Beautiful, well appointed home in a great location! Nice restaurants and fun little bars nearby, a short walk to the ocean. My favorite part... the beds are quite comfortable! Gloria is quickly responsive and accomodating, and I was very pleased with my overall experience. Highly recommend! Cheers

Gloria was a very hospitable and respectful host. The home was just like the photos and more, which was amazing. The area is quiet, but not much to do during the fall/winter unless you drive 35-40 minutes into Wilmington. The home takes a while to heat up, so be prepared if you're coming during the cold months. The beds are pretty low to the ground and there is only a television in the main and living room which wasn't the best thing in my opinion. There are some linens and other items in the home that will need to be replaced soon due to consistent use. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would love to return again !

The layout of this rental was perfect for us. Beds were fabulous! Gloria was very responsive and flexible. Though we didn't use it, it was an easy walk to the beach access. I would rent again!

Simple but elegant. Very clean. You can tell the host put in lots of thought for travelers. Little touches include providing disinfection wipes, cotton balls, Q-tips, rolling the toilet paper into rose shapes, etc. The place is super clean and well-stocked for the stay. Ten minutes to the beach walking. We enjoyed our stay!

House is as described---close walk to the beach but also has public parking directly at beach access if you want to drive down instead. Be prepared though as the bedrooms do not have clothes dressers. Everything is very clean and has all that you need for a short stay of one week or less. Would be nice if it had a grill though. Would definitely stay again.

Place is spacious and beautiful. 8-10 minute walk to beach. Quiet peaceful neighborhood. Easy 3-5 min drive to boardwalk/pier and other restaurants.

My wife and I loved the house. It was warm and welcoming! We definitely plan on going back for a longer stay.

Gloria's place was perfect for our very short trip! It's in a great location, just off the beating path, and a short distance to the beach and restaurants. We found the home to be very comfortable and provided everything we needed. It was decorated nicely, not a lot of fuss. Plenty of room for our group of 5. Excellent communication...Gloria kept us updated on any changes and she made it clear we could call on her for any needs!

We had a great time at Wanderlust! We've been visiting CB for the past half decade and while all the new construction can feel a little crazy, it sure is nice to have more options to choose from. We've actually stayed on Searay before, so it was great to stay again in all-new, ultra comfortable surroundings. The house is wonderful, super comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen, the perfect porch for morning coffee, and easy access to the greenway. Our 3 youngish kids loved the house, and while it was HOT (it's August), they managed a bike ride down to the Kure pier (take Settlers) and walks to Alabama access just fine. Would happily book again!

Beautiful place. Clean, moderate, quiet and safe. A Short, easy walking distance to the beach. Small backyard was great for the dog and the front porch was relaxing.

We had an amazing stay at a beautiful home that was walking distance from the beach. The place seemed to be recently built and is very clean. It was equipped with new appliances however the water line was not connected to the fridge during my stay so no water/ice for the cooler. This was a slight setback but didn’t let it affect our fun trip. It’s only 30 minutes (during July 4th week) from downtown Wilmington. The neighborhood was nice and quiet from my experience but most homes in the same area seemed to be for rent so this could vary. When we got ready to leave on the final day we were asked to start the dishwasher and start a load of whites. This was unusual and shouldn’t be the renters duty as the whites belong to the bnb, and we pay a cleaning fee of $150. Overall we had a great experience and would stay again.

Wanderlust by the Waves was an awesome place to stay. Gloria was very responsive, friendly, and attentive during our stay. The property is located in a great location -- close to the beach and attractions, but far enough away that it is quiet and peaceful. Once you enter Wanderlust by the Waves, you immediately feel at home. The property is extremely clean and uncluttered. Each room is very well equipped and has everything you need. My wife and I really appreciated the small touches, such as a fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms. The washer and dryer (Gloria included detergent!) was a great touch and helpful with our kids (they go through an astronomical amount of clothing!). We had a small issue during our visit, nothing that impacted our stay at all, and Gloria was very responsive and apologetic. Overall, Wanderlust is an amazing place to stay and we are glad we were able to visit.

We booked this airbnb for a little weekend trip and it was great! The airbnb looks just like the photos and is absolutely beautiful. This is a great Carolina Beach find. I loved the accessibility to the green way for morning runs or walks with the stroller and pooch. The place is stylish with comfortable pillows. There are many thoughtful touches to help it feel like home.
