I stayed the entire month of February and every time I had a need, they already had it in the cottage. I truly loved my stay and plan to return! A few of my favorite features: Motion detected low-lit kitchen lights, perfect for a relaxing midnight snack. Easy-to-use Roku TVs in every room (even a Nintendo switch). Remote-controlled lights and fans. ❤︎ Insanely comfortable mattresses! Absolutely breathtaking sunrise and sunset views! Yard so big you can skip the treadmill and walk along the fence for exercise. All the kitchen essentials and beyond provided, modern with the 1950s flare, super cute! Highly recommended! Loved it and Suzanne is an amazing host!" - Anna, March 2025 "Was a great place for last minute finding great for our family vacation the bay is right across the street beautiful sunrise and sunset short distance from restaurants and stores and short drive to Destin we will be definitely booking here again." - Kevin, November 2024 Guests can access anything around this home and anything outside except the tiny home on wheels and their fire personal pit area. I will be available by phone or text if you have any questions at all. Just a small country, old Florida neighborhood nestled in live oaks along the Choctawhatchee Bay. Freeport is a very simple, quiet, no-frills sea-side town with lots of boating, fishing, and simple living. Down the road is Niceville which has a little more happening in terms of restaurants. Just over the bay bridge is Destin, with mini golf, arcades, a lot of different dining categories as well as beautiful white sand beaches and in the opposite direction, MIramar, filled with quiet beaches and additional lodging. In your local neighborhood, you can easily find boat rentals, fishing excursions, jet ski rentals and all sorts of marine fun. There is plenty of parking at the property. You can bike along the highway if you want. You can also call a shuttle or get an uber or lyft. While you technically can walk East to Choctaw beach on the Bay, I don't recommend walking down State Road 20 W at all, or walk at your own risk. There is no sidewalk and the cars can sometimes speed down the road. Having a car is very helpful (or you can choose to uber everywhere, but that may end up costing more than a rental car). I recommend Turo if you will need a rental car for more than 2 days. it's cheaper than the closest car rental place, Enterprise. - This is a true vintage home—floors creak, and the kitchen has that Old Florida soul - The property sits on Route 20, the main road between Freeport and Niceville, so traffic noise may be noticeable, especially during beach season - You’ll be sharing the property with a rented tiny home, but outdoor areas are separate and you don't have to share your washer and dryer.

August 2025 5.00The place was amazing! Just a short drive to the beach, which made it super convenient. The price was incredible for what we got. The host was absolutely the best—always available, kind, and helpful with everything we needed. Literally the best host ever!

August 2025 5.00This is exactly what we want in an Airbnb, especially as a toddler parents. It felt like a home away from home, I love that they had everything we needed and toddler safe as well as things for him to play with. Great communication as well. We would definitely stay again when we come to the area to visit family.
