Place looks just like the photos beautiful floors etc. My daughters enjoyed their stay and family was comfortable coming over for game night. No complaints .. thanks for having us

We use air-bnb often within our travels. Was a little disppointed that we were not informed that this home has a septic tank and the toilets do not work well when there is heavy rain. The weekend we went was heavy rain all day and felt this should of been mentioned before having issues. James did arrange for us to stay at a different place but when I left my important earrings I was unable to go in and get them, now waiting over a week to have them shipped to me at a cost to me and was informed that someone would have reached out to me early this week and have not heard from them. I had to reach out again and now being told that they are in a closet and I have to wait to the current renters are out.

Easy place to stay while checking out all the things to do in Wilmington

Place was in really good shape inside. Beds were comfortable and clean. Bathroom was only a full and half bathroom. This should be considered 1.5 bathrooms and not 2. Other than that it was ok stay, no issues!

This house is conveniently located between Carolina Beach and Wilmington. It is also close to many food and shopping options. The house was clean and beds were comfy. My only complaint was that there was no plug for the drain in the tub, so we weren't able to give my kids a bath and they are too small for a shower - something to consider if you are traveling with small children. Host was responsive when we had questions.

Great place to stay! Nice windowed porch and small fenced in back yard space. Relatively private. Very spacious rental, open floor plan, with an updated kitchen! Would recommend this place again! James was very responsive and handled all inquiries quickly.

James is a wonderful and attentive host. The house is beautiful and had all listed amenities. Back yard is smaller than it appears in photos, but still enjoyable and serene. Kitchen is full of utensils, cookware, and even cooking supplies. Appliances are readily available. The ice maker/water dispenser does not work on the refrigerator, but that seems common in many BnBs I have stayed in, so no big issue. Plenty of parking. House beautifully decorated and modern. Sun room is the icing on the cake for the property. Very close to shopping, food, and beaches. Worth every penny of the stay. House was in no way filthy, but if you're a clean freak, I will say the cleaners could do a little better job on floors and walls, as there was some dirt and hair on the floors and in the bathtub and crayon markings on bedroom walls. Appliances were very clean. Bathtub is useable for a shower, but no way of plugging tub for a bath unless you buy a stopper for it, so plan on only showering.

Great home with lots of space

It was in a location that was 15 minutes from everything. The beach, downtown, Mayfair, target. I live in Wilmington so it was a great little vacation for my mum and me. It was clean, big, the rooms all had smart tv’s. The sunroom was a beautiful add on just didn’t get to use it. I would definitely think about looking in that area for a home to buy. Great place to stay. Not only are you close to the beaches in the area and to downtown , but you feel right at home and comfortable at the house. Hosts were also great at responding and helping anyway they can for our comfort/needs. Would recommend to anyone that wants to visit Wilmington.

We loved Jame’s place! We needed to relax and make memories and we did just that. It was peaceful and close to stores and the beach! We went to Fort Fisher to the Aquarium and then a really nice restaurant with the best crab boil bags! We give James a 10 star for meeting all our needs and we look forward to staying there again. Very peaceful and easy going stay ! Perfect when out of town

This was a great place for my group to stay! Very comfortable and clean. The neighborhood was lovely and the home is in an area that is close to many outings.

The AirBnB was nice, beds were comfortable and it had lots of room. The only bad thing was the floor was very dirty. We had a problem with the kitchen sink flooding underneath but the host handled it very fast, within the hour. Also the host was quick to respond or help in any way.

I have no complaints about the house at all. I enjoyed my stay and beds were extra comfortable.

The place can use maintenance. One of the bathroom sinks was clogged, and the biggest problem was the front door lock stopped working on my second day there! No one came out to fix it. I was told to use a key that i never found. Also, when i arrived, the place smelled of fish; like someone had just gone fishing. Then, the bathroom could have been cleaner. Honestly, the place needs to be thoroughly cleaned and check all appliances because the stove gave some trouble as well. The host was not very responsive and told me to communicate with the "cohost" when i needed anything.

Thanksgiving holiday weekend - unable to find other accommodations. 1st night - smelled a little rancid, sticky kitchen floor, bedroom linens didn’t feel/smell clean, itching in the am. 2nd night mold noted on shower curtain/walls, 1st mattress with noted to have stains and hair all over it, tried different bedroom - this too with nasty stained mattress, hairs, and sand. Was able to locate one clean sheet, third bedroom seemed ok, but I refused to look at the mattress. Heating vents with thick layer of dust/dirt, open food in cabinets. 3rd night moved to a hotel. I really don’t know how this person is allowed to rent this house to people with how filthy it is to the core. He did reimburse me for the night I left and the cleaning fee. Deceptively, charged me full price for the nights we stayed in the filth! Did not get what was advertised and paid for!

Exactly matched the description everything in Wilmington was within 15 minutes of driving. Perfect place to stay with a family.

I rated this property overall at 3 stars, but wanted to give 2 1/2 (not 3). The listing is accurate, beds are comfy, cleanliness is excellent, and lots of room for watching TV, lounging, etc. However, there were lots of little things the photos did not show and our expectations were not met. Examples are, only 1 of the 4 lights in the master 1/2 bath worked. The garage door was jammed shut. One side of the dishwasher top rack was broken and did not slide correctly. We expected at least one box of tissues to be available-there were none. The shower curtain had small spots of mold on the inside and curtain rod was rusty/curtain did not slide very easily. It was apparent the inside of the home has been remodeled but definitely as a DIY project, some edges of the island counter top was still rough/not finished, grout between the wall tiles in the kitchen was not completed, one of the two under cabinet lights did not work and the power wires were not tucked/secured out of the way. Dishes/glassware/kitchen utensils/pots & pans were mismatched and scarce. The impression we got was shopping for the kitchen was done at the local thrift store on a very tight budget. There was soap/shampoo/dish & laundry soap available, and adequate towels for bathing. Concerning the bathrooms, little to no towel racks or shelves were available to store personal items. Our stay was comfortable and the facility was adequate. But for a retired pro home remodeler, definitely not up to snuff.

What a great stay! I loved the house, and the neighbors were very friendly. About 15 minutes to the beach, but only 5 to local coffee shops and grocery stores. We had a wonderful stay!

My family and I absolutely loved the home! The beds were super comfy and there’s plenty of room in the open concept living room/kitchen for all of the family to hang out and converse during meals. It’s also super close to several of the beaches in the area (usually less than 20 minutes) as well as shopping and the Riverdale in downtown Wilmington. We will definitely book here on our future trips to the area.

The house was very spacious and the perfect place for families to get away. Everything was so nice, all the rooms had ceiling fans and flatscreen TV's. The owner was very responsive and willing to fix all errors/concerns. Nice driveway to park up to two vehicles in. It's located pretty much in between Carolina Beach and Wrightsville Beach. Short distance to food and stores. The only downfall was that the water wasn't connected to the ice machine.

This was a nice place to stay between the beach and downtown. It was easy to get in and out for both sides of where we went. Very Quiet. Thanks so much!

I was under the impression I booked a place that would be too small, but the house itself proved to be really spacious. The wifi in the house was amazing, we spent 5 days there so it came in handy. The host was awesome, worked with us whenever we had problems, kept in contact, and I am thankful the minimum age to rent was 18. If you have this on your possible booking list its fairly cheap for a great house. The neighborhood was also very nice, we jogged in the morning a few times and had no issues, will say it's busier than I thought it would be. Overall a great trip well worth the money.

James even created a list of things we could do while we were in the area, unfortunately, we were in the wedding, so we were very busy. This was my first time using Airbnb and James was a wonderful host. The sunroom was our favorite little hangout spot. Overall, it felt very homely and was a great place to stay at in Wilmington.

In town for my son’s wedding. I wanted somewhere where my grandson could come and be comfortable not cramped in a room. The home was just as listed! Clean, spacious and all the amenities of home. Each room had a ceiling fan that was great! Also each room has a TV which I rarely find! The sunroom was huge! Very spacious, quiet and cool with plenty of seating!! Loved how close everything was. Plenty room in the kitchen. Really loved the island with the chairs where we spent most of our time!! James was quick to respond but we actually did not need a thing from him! The price was great!! All that space for less than a hotel room!! I would definitely stay here again!!

Got to the place and it was easy to get in to. The house was pretty clean just a few places that needed to be swept up but overall very good.

The location was the only good thing about this place. I stayed for 2 1/2 weeks and the first couple of days, there was weed on the back porch. I sent a message with a picture including the weed, no acknowledgment from the host at all, except that they would send cleaners out. My 2 year old son brought this to me. But wait, it gets better! ... There was a MOUSE under the couch in the living room, dead on a trap we found a few days before we left. Through thanksgiving, my family and I kept smelling a terrifying smell in the kitchen but as clean as it was, we couldn’t figure out where the smell was coming from. A few nights before finding the mouse, I couldn’t sleep because I kept hearing a noise in the bedroom but I could never figure out what it was. Once we found it, we notified the host and they offered to refund us $100 (out of the $2,424.00 we paid for our stay) They offered to send out pest control. I brought up the traps, which were clearly placed there because they knew the place had mice. The host responded, “We have traps like that to catch ants or any small insects that may travel.” These hosts don’t care about you, they’re all about their money. The bottom of their sink detached on its own the first week & I mentioned it to their hosts that called me, they said they would get back with me, never did. And now that I’ve reported to air bnb about their weed & rodent issues, they’re “retaliating” saying I never told them about it, plus they’re saying “I” left weed on their back porch when clearly I’ve sent proof what was there prior. The cleaning lady came while I was putting back the key the last day and even said, “Oh gosh, I must have forgot or not seen that last time! That’s my bad!” Don’t rent from this place! The host has 12 air bnb total & cars on Turo, they’re all about making money and not caring about how they treat their clients who have booked air bnb or their comfortability! Not clean or safe at all.

It was a good place to rent for the weekend. It’s a nicely renovated older home that was very clean and comfortable for me and my 3 guest. Everybody enjoyed the stay and had a good time. I would 100% rent this house again when I return to Wilmington.

Stay was very cozy and the home was absolutely perfect

The place looked like the images except it was listed as 2 bath and it is 1.5 bath. We had no toiletries (no toilet paper even) on the night we arrived. The back door was broken. The shower curtain was moldy. The maintenance is contracted to a separate company so there is delay in the requests flowing through. The communication from the host is ok. They did offer a small(real small) refund for the trouble.
