Place was very clean and had great communication with Alva.

This house and location was everything and then some. The location is great literally less than a 100 yards to the beach and inter-coastal access with a public pier to launch a kayak, SUP, etc. We have rented a number houses over the years and enjoyed them all this house was special location and views especially sunsets from the roof deck as well as the kitchen and living room area. We have never stayed at a house that was so well stocked with everything, from coffee pods as well as fresh ground, spices, soaps/lotions ( kitchen and baths), to beach gear chairs 10+, umbrellas, corn hole, bath and beach towels. You literally can show up with your clothes a few bags of groceries and you are all set. The house layout is perfect for a large family of 6-10 (or friends). Very clean, modern, and up-to-date. There is even a great cafe/ mini mart right next door coffee, beer, ice, breakfast, lunch, etc. it is a true dive but in best of ways. Can not recommend Alva and her house enough 5+

Alva’s beach house was an incredible place for our trip! Everything went incredibly smoothly at check-in and check out thanks to Alva’s clear and concise instructions. She was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the trip. And she had a pack-n-play stored in the primary bedroom, and a high chair for our little ones to use! The location was amazing and made our commute to the beach so easy, being only steps away from the beach access. The elevator made our trip so much easier! From moving our luggage so much, to carrying in groceries, and was so accommodating for my mom who had an unfortunate accident happen shortly before the trip and was unable to use the stairs. The views from the rooftop deck are incredible, our group spent every night of our stay up there. We would love to stay at Alva’s again for our next trip to Carolina Beach!

We had an incredible stay! The house was perfect for our girls' trip. Great location less than a block from the beach access. The house has beautiful views of the intercoastal waterway on one side and the ocean on the other. Check-in and check-out were seamless and the host was easily accessible. We would definitely stay here again!

This is an extremely nice house. Rooftop deck is fantastic, beds are comfortable, living room is great and kitchen is very nice. The bathrooms were stocked and the house had a pack and play, high chair and all the stuff for the beach. Beach access is right across the street and one house down. The mini mart has suprrinsgly good coffee and sandwiches. Be aware, if you drive a large car or truck (I do) then the driveway and parking are challenging. I ended up backing in.

Loved the house! Easy walk to the beach! Plenty of space for our group of 8 to spread out. The views of the inlet from the kitchen were amazing. Overall the house was beautiful, clean and well stocked. Would totally return again!

This is a beautiful, high-end beach house perfect for a large group. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need and is located in a quieter part of Carolina Beach, but within a walking distance to restaurants and attractions. Beach is beautiful, not crowded and literally steps away from the house and easily accessible. Alva was a great host - super friendly and very responsive to our needs. We highly recommended this property.

The house was very nice and well stocked with all your needs. (Towels, toiletries, beach toy, chairs, wagon etc)However the cleaners were there when we arrived, because of this I feel the cleaning was rushed. A lot miscommunication on the owners part about my payment for early check in . I had to screenshot that they did in fact receive my payment for that. Promised a full refund for my early check in but only received a partial refund. Elevator didn’t always work properly. Overall a good house in a congested area. Disappointed in the communication with the owner and the view. They need to update their advertising. A house has been built to block the view .

This is our second stay at this home. It is five star! We loved everything about it from the super comfy beds, rooftop bar with incredible views of the ocean and intracoastal waterway, walking distance to just about everything and the level of service including minimal work at checkout when compared to other homes we have stayed in! Will definitely stay again!!!

This beautiful home provided the perfect stay!!

Beautiful house and so accommodating! Comfortable and clean! The layout is a four story home but My 80-year-old parents stayed in the bedroom on the kitchen level and took the elevator instead of the stairs and that worked great. We were there over Thanksgiving and the kitchen was ready for someone who likes to cook with all the needed implements and spices, down to peelers and potato masher to make Thanksgiving food. In addition, we so appreciated all of the extras, including toiletries, laundry pods, paper towels, and a new sponge for the kitchen sink.

BEAUTIFUL house and extremely clean. Alva responded quickly and is so friendly. Everyone enjoyed the house. We had a great time here and will remember this weekend for a long time. Would recommend and will book again if in the area.

Beautiful house that is very well appointed. Comfortable beds, ample towels, bathrooms stocked with many things not typical for rentals. Kitchen also very well stocked. Halfway between the ocean and intercoastal, which was great. The rooftop area is such a nice touch as well.

Could not ask for more! The house is beautiful with every little detail/ necessity from paper towels, to booster seats, beach chairs/toys, wagons, outdoor shower, etc. The house is within walking distance of a convenient store, which is great! This was our favorite Airbnb rental yet. It was impeccably clean, comfortable beds with nice soft linens, incredibly beautiful and updated decor. It was even better than pictured. We loved being close to the beach access where chairs are available for rent, handy to Wilmington, and the bedrooms were perfect for our group. The AC was cold, good water pressure and nice washer and dryer. We appreciated the extra beach towels, toilet paper and paper towels. Incredibly nicely appointed kitchen made cooking enjoyable. We would highly recommend this property and may even change our annual beach plans to include staying here again sometime!

This was one of the nicest homes I’ve ever stayed at for a beach trip. The whole place is beautifully renovate and smells/looks like a brand new home. Fresh linens, clean sheets, coffee provided… who can complain! My friends and I loved the mini mart right next to the house as well — ate there for lunch and dinner almost every day haha. It’s was also such a short walk to the beach. 10/10 visit!

Great location! We booked our trip last minute and were pleased to find a property so close to the beach. It is essentially right across from the beach with multiple public access points <3 minute walk away. The house is clean, updated, well-decorated with tasteful touches. Fantastic house for family and/or friends. We brought our baby, nanny and a few friends. Very much enjoyed the space. All bedrooms except the small bunk room have en suite bathrooms. Even the small bunk room had a full bath on the same floor. The rooftop is amazing with great views of beach that you can enjoy with a morning coffee. The house is well-equipped with a stocked kitchen, beach accessories (cart, towels, etc), laundry and more. The furniture (especially in the living and dining room) shows more wear and than the pictures indicate with marks on window frames, upholstery, etc. We let the host know there was a small problem with bugs and they were very responsive and are working on pest-control. Recommend!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful beach house! The home was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated, with all the comforts of home—and then some. House had a nice ocean view and the easy walk to the beach made it perfect for our family. We had a party of 8 with 2 teens and 2 younger and they loved the bunk beds! Plenty of bathrooms to accommodate all of us. The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were super comfortable, and there were plenty of towels, games, and beach gear. We especially loved relaxing on the roof top porch in the evenings with the sea breeze. The host was incredibly responsive and made everything easy from check-in to check-out. This home truly made our beach trip special, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!!!

It was exactly as marketed, “paradise”. Every corner of the house was thoroughly cleaned, furniture, accessories, utensils etc were all very well planned/ designed. Communication from the host was proactive, clear concise and very friendly. Highly recommend this place

Our stay was wonderful! Very close to the beach access & easy to walk to restaurants and back and forth to the beach. The place was the cleanest place we have ever stayed. There was plenty of room for everyone (we had 6 adults and 4 kids) and the place had everything we needed! We would definitely stay again!

My family had an amazing stay! The home was very clean and looks brand new. The beach is a 2 minute walk from the property. There’s a cafe/convenient store beside the house. If your capable there’s shops, restaurants, ice-cream, beach bars, etc. within a 20-35 min walk. We loved driving down to Kure beach pier (10 minute drive) nightly and spent most evenings walking the boardwalk area, strolling on the pier, and fishing. There were plenty of linens, cookware, and beach gear available at the property. We enjoyed the rooftop balcony, as it had great views of harbor and ocean. The area felt safe and quite at night. Lots of people biking, running, & walking from early morning to late night. Only drawback for us was the parking area. It’s tight, and large/wide vehicles struggle to park or turn around in the parking area especially if you bring the max vehicles aloud. Overall, I highly recommend!! It was an exceptional stay!

Location to the beach was perfect. A quick 2 min walk. The house was very clean and beds and linens were clean and comfortable. Only misrepresentation may be the driveway is extremely narrow and hard to maneuver an SUV or truck in and out. Definitely recommend this house!

We had a great long weekend at Alva’s place celebrating my mom’s birthday. We had some bad weather, so we were extra grateful for a beautiful home with lots of open space to spend time together inside. The views are also beautiful - hard to beat seeing the waterway from one side and the ocean from the other! While it’s not directly ocean front, it is right across the street with direct beach access. I would recommend for anyone looking for a place in Carolina Beach!

We enjoyed a girls weekend away. The location was nice. Just walk across street to get to beach. Small market next to house was convenient. It was nice that they had coffee and tea.

This house is just as beautiful as it is in the pictures. Plenty of space for the six of us. It is one row off the beach but the rooftop deck allows ocean views and marina views. The beach is nice, and at this time of year, not very busy. The beds were comfortable and everything was updated. It’s a little tight on the parking and it’s a good 15 minute walk from the boardwalk area, but that wasn’t too big of a deal for us. Alva, the host, was super responsive. Overall a great stay!

I must say this was an excellent place to stay for our family. Place is new and very well stocked. Items were thoughtful (bathroom items in each bathroom), kitchen was very well stocked with quality items that were clean and very well organized. Who ever purchased items for house thought of everything. Never had to look for utensils as organization was as if someone there cooks and thought of everything. Very clean Communication was excellent. Beach chairs and toys and all - new outdoor BBQ were in excellent condition. Would absolutely stay there again. Beach access across street. Not much to do in area except beach and enjoy the beautiful clean new house. Lots of windows and sunlight. Lovely.

House was as pictured. The home felt clean and open. Convenience store/coffee bagel shop DIRECTLY next to the driveway, which was very nice in the mornings. House was hard to find due to being tucked behind others, driveway if pretty tight if you have a bigger truck but was still doable. I would definitely recommend the house and host.

We loved staying at Alva’s place! The house was very clean and well decorated. The view of the water on both sides was a big plus. There’s ample room to host large parties (we had 9 for a bachelorette). The driveway is easy to miss from the road, but otherwise, no issues. Beach access just across the street. Alva was prompt and kind in her responses. Would definitely rebook in the future!

Beautiful top floor deck. Steps away is local deli to get drinks and food if needed. Communication was clear & effortless. Highly recommend & well worth it!

Like a Brand new house, very clean and cozy, , good view even if this house is not directly face the sea, there is a plateau on the 4th floor to view the sea. The owner is very friendly, solve some small problems very on time👍 Totally very satisfied with this trip and enjoy our time there👍

This place is gorgeous! They have paid attention to every detail. Our group was so impressed - and we are 7 really picky women! Beachside Paradise was an incredibly clean and welcoming spot. The lighting options made it even nicer. Watching the moonrise in the evening and coffee in the morning, on the 4th floor deck, were magical. Alva was a terrific communicator and property manager. We hope to return soon for more great memories to be made!

Beautiful Home, clean, comfortable, welcoming, and felt like a home away from home. The area is so peaceful. Within three walking minutes, we were at the beach which was clean and not crowded. Area restaurants were very clean and the staff was hospitable. The foods were good and tasty. We made lots of additional beautiful family memories. The owners were kind, friendly, and communicated well.

Alva House has been our best Airbnb experience to date! The house itself is stunning, and the addition of the elevator was incredibly convenient. We genuinely cannot say anything negative about our stay. The house had everything we needed, and its location is just steps away from the beach, offering breathtaking, one-of-a-kind views. The only minor issue was the spotty internet connection, but honestly, that's just a hint to head up to the rooftop deck, take in the amazing view, and dive into a good book. Alva was always responsive when we texted, and she made us feel truly welcomed. This will definitely be our go-to place for beach days. Oh, and the beds were super comfortable, with plenty of pillows—perfect for our pillow-loving family! Book your stay at Alva House—you’ll love it. My family certainly did. Enjoy!

This house was amazing! We were there during Hurricane Debby and the house was perfect for 9 people! It had everything we needed and the host was so responsive for anything we asked, including tying down furniture for the high winds! Right across the street from a beach entrance, great mini mart and cafe right next door. Fabulous roof top deck when the winds weren’t insane during the hurricane! Would HIGHLY recommend!

Great house and great location! Somehow I missed “elevator” on the list of amenities and it was such a welcome surprise when I checked in. My group had a fantastic time playing games in the large family room or catching views of the beach on the top floor balcony. It was a 5 star stay! We will definitely be returning to Carolina Beach, and staying here!

My family really enjoyed our stay at Alva’s house. The home was absolutely beautiful with stunning views of the intercoastal from the kitchen and dining room and the ocean from the rooftop deck. The house was nicely decorated and very spacious. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals and the bathrooms even included amenities like soap, shampoo, conditioner, and beach towels. We were really grateful for the outdoor shower and outdoor closet full of beach necessities (boogie boards, wagon, tons of great beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys). The location was ideal since it was a very easy walk to the beach (just across the street) and about a 20 minute walk to the boardwalk. The town is very accessible, and it was easy to drive to local grocery stores. We enjoyed exploring Wrightsville Beach and the state aquarium. There was also access close by which allowed us to drive on the beach. Alva’s house is a gorgeous home and we were grateful for our time there.

This house was perfect for our group of adults, infants, and kids. There was plenty of space in the living room and kitchen and we were able to have space to play outside in the driveway and on the rooftop patio. The rooftop patio was perfect - it was a great place to relax and we were able to watch fireworks for the 4th. The beach is also just a short walk from the house and was very manageable with wagons full of kids and beach gear. Lastly, the house had everything we needed in the kitchen as well as some extra beach supplies!

We lost a family member just before the trip but were unable to cancel for a refund beyond 50%. Because of this, my mother convinced us to hold it and go anyhow in hopes for the family to heal and find some peace. She (my mother) was sick for the first few days-she opted out of the beach most of the time but instead enjoyed her days on the rooftop deck. Walk to the beach is very short and it was so nice that we could go with the kids and not be far from her, knowing she was also enjoying the views of both the beach and the sound. Easement and parking was a little tricky to access for our large suvs (suburban and wagoneer) but the spots themselves were large. Outdoor shower is tucked behind the parking spots and is very private. Elevator didn’t work at first but it was resolved quickly with the host. House was clean, clutter-free, tastefully decorated, comfortable, and beautiful. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking essentials and pantry staples. Check out list was minimal and easy.

Wow! What an amazing home. Very high end detailing and appliances. Everything you would need in a home. The view from the top balcony was truly beautiful, we spent every sunset up there. Extremely short walk to the beach. The little shop nearby was great for items you might had forgot and sold really nice food also! We didn't want to leave. Would definitely go back again.

We liked the house and we would have rated the stay higher, but we encountered an issue the very first day at check in: the fact that the elevator was not working (we are a couple of seniors, kids and grandkids) was important to us . This house has 3 flights of stairs. So we had that day to move fast somewhere else,pay for an hotel room with grocery and perishable in the car. All that was really very disappointing. We got part of a night refund with the help of Airbnb customer service. Second day we expected that the issue would be solved quickly. Instead the elevator Never worked during 5 days.. After some visits to repair it with no success, we were told to try to 'fix it' ourselves if stuck inside. We then felt totally unsafe to use it. Following the constant time consuming communications, we decided to enjoy our family vacations despite the physical strain and inconvenience.

Alva's place was awesome. Clean, in a convenient spot, had great views of the intercoastal and ocean and had an awesome upstairs rooftop area. Beds were comfy and the shared spaces were more than adequate for the 10 of us!

This is a beautiful house with beautiful views on both sides. Alva is a great host. Everything was included which is great when traveling with a big family. Sand toys, chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, and most importantly, a beach wagon was provided which made walking to the beach a lot easier. The beach access is right across from the house to the right. The elevator makes unloading/loading much easier than walking up and down the stairs with luggage, if needed.Everything is labeled with very detailed instructions. The house had everything you can think of. Not a lot of things to do before check out, which is also nice when you have kids! Just had to start a load of bath towels and dish washer if applicable. Alva and her team were great and very quick to respond. The first day the elevator would not open (due to the inside gate not being shut) and the coffee maker was not working. Alva sent someone out that day to reset the elevator and brought a new coffee maker. Great stay!

This place was amazing the house was squeaky clean. Had plenty of things to do in the local area. Plenty of things to do a walkable distance also. Overall had an awesome time. Will say the drive way appears much bigger in the pictures so plan ti have tight parking

We loved the home! It was a quick walk to the beach and absolutely beautiful! Alva was super responsive to all our questions and helped us through the internet outage and elevator issues. We had great views of the beach and sunset from the patio which was just gorgeous! Definitely would come back to this home if we come back to Carolina Beach.

Alva’s place was perfect. Her attention to detail is what really drew us in. From the felt hangers in the closets to the comfortable mattresses. The kitchen had everything we needed and the rooftop balcony was to die for. It was located right next to a mini mart for us to grab anything quick we’d forgotten. Alvas place was the perfect spot for our little family getaway.

This place was beyond amazing , so spacious for everyone to have privacy. The house was exactly what the pictures show. The view was beautiful and so close to the beach. Walking distance to a lot of places also mini mart right next door so if you need anything you don’t have to drive too far. The best were comfortable and spacious. The bathrooms were very clean. Everything you could need was available. Overall had an amazing time and enjoyed our stay.
